“Beards for the Boys” Cancer Awareness Campaign

“Beards for the Boys” Cancer Awareness Campaign

Have you been looking for a good excuse to grow your beard? You just found one!

Cancer Support Community is partnering with Today’s Healthy Man in order to raise funds and spread awareness of testicular cancer. “Beards For The Boys” is a fun and educational awareness campaign that will positively impact the lives of many diagnosed with, not just testicular cancer, but all types cancer.

Roughly 8, 340 new cases of testicular cancer will be diagnosed each year. Although it can develop at any age, almost half of all cases are in men between the ages of 20 and 34. However, testicular cancer can be treated and usually cured, especially when it’s found early. Significant progress has been made with treatment over the past couple years, but we still have a ways to go. To learn more about testicular cancer click here.

Interested in becoming involved? Here’s what to expect:

October 19th– Create your profile on the Today’s Healthy Man webpage. Friends and families can track your progress based on the photos and updates you provide. Click here to make your donation!

November 1st- The challenge officially begins – no shaving until November 30th!  Keep checking the webpage for further details about upcoming events.

December 1st- The Beards For The Boys Shave-Off will take place.

Join us in this great cause to spread awareness, have fun, and help us achieve our goal: to raise enough money for Ron Greenbaum, The Basement Doctor, to shave off his beard!
